It is our pleasure to invite you to the Microbiome Throughout Life (MBTL) International Conference, in Bucharest, 11-13 November 2027.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Following the success of the first Microbiome Throughout Life (MBTL) International Conference in Belgrade, we are delighted to welcome the microbiome community to Bucharest, Romania, from 11–13 November 2027, for the second edition of MBTL.

Under the theme “Advancing Microbiome Science. Transforming Patient Care,” MBTL 2027 will explore how the rapid evolution of microbiome research is deepening our understanding of human health and opening new possibilities for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan.

As the science moves forward, so too does the opportunity to bring meaningful discoveries closer to patients. The 2027 program will examine the latest advances in microbiome science alongside emerging clinical evidence, highlighting how research can inform healthcare practice - from preconception and pregnancy through infancy, childhood, adulthood, and healthy ageing.

Over three days, MBTL 2027 will bring together an international, multidisciplinary community of microbiome researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals from across relevant specialties, including microbiome research, reproductive health, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, pediatrics, gastroenterology, immunology, oncology, metabolic health, and other fields alongside industry leaders and experts in microbiome-related innovation. Together, we will exchange knowledge, challenge current thinking, and foster meaningful collaboration across disciplines.
