Preparing your presentation

01

Build in 16:9

Slides must be 16:9 widescreen, in PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF. Keynote files should be exported to one of these formats before you travel.

02

Embed everything

Embed fonts, video and audio in the file itself. If you must use an external video, bring it on the same USB drive in a standard format (MP4, H.264).

03

Keep it readable

Minimum 20 pt body text. Assume the person at the back of the room has forgotten their glasses.

04

Declare your interests

A conflict-of-interest slide is mandatory and must be the second slide of every presentation.

On the day

At the venue

The speaker preview desk sits beside registration and is staffed throughout the meeting.

Questions

Presenting at MBTL

Presentations are recorded and made available to registered delegates on demand after the meeting. If you do not wish your talk to be recorded, tell the scientific secretariat before the meeting and we will exclude it.

No. All presentations run from the lectern PC so that sessions start on time. Bring your file on a USB drive as well as in the cloud.

Call the number on your speaker confirmation email. Chairs will reorder within a session only as a last resort.

Yes, if you wish. Send a PDF to the secretariat and we will add it to the on-demand library alongside your recording.
