Scope

What qualifies as late-breaking

The late-breaking round exists for genuinely new findings: data that did not exist when the main deadline passed on 31 July. It is not a second chance for abstracts that missed the first deadline, and submissions that could have been made in the main round are declined.

Accepted late-breaking abstracts are presented as posters. A small number of the highest-scoring submissions are additionally invited to the late-breaking oral session on the final morning.

No. The same blinded process and the same scoring criteria apply, on a compressed timetable.

Yes. Late-breaking posters are eligible for the poster prize on the same terms as everything else.
